Where are Bluebonnets in Houston
I keep seeing people posting pictures of wildflowers on social media – driving several miles out of town to see them. You don’t have to drive 50 plus miles to see Bluebonnets if you live in Houston. Just visit Terry Hershey Park in Houston’s Energy Corridor.
Bluebonnets and wildflowers in Terry Hershey Park
Park at the Memorial drive entrance of Terry Hershey and just start walking. Because it is a hike and bike trail pack up your bicycle and tour the whole park. It’s a wonderful way to spend a spring afternoon. There are many fields of bluebonnets and wildflowers along the trail that meanders by the bayou from Hwy 6 to the Sam Houston Tollway. These photos are from all along the trails between Eldridge, Highway 6 and Memorial Drive in Houston.

While your in the park check out the sundial clock just north of the parking lot on Memorial Drive. It’s a real analemmatic sun dial the instructions on how to read the clock are at the base of it.
